Wedding photography

It’s always a challenge dealing with different lighting and weather condition.  You have to adapt quickly and think fast, looking around for props/pose and different location.  I started sorting out the images from my last wedding shoot in Moncton, NB.  It was such a breeze to be with thebride and groom, they’re a great couple. It was also fun to be able to shoot in different location other than those I usually shoot at.  I’ve got a fair amount of work left to be done but here’s one I like from the first batch.

Natural Window Light

Flash photography is great, I do use my flash often but when I can use natural lighting it makes me even more happy. Sure, strobes have their use otherwise the would be none on the market but pictures can be created using minimal lighting gear. In my case here I’ve used the ambient light coming from two window, one at the right of the subject at about 9 feet and one in front of subject at about 3 feet. There was no need to get a fancy background or studio set-up, just work with the light, good composition and click.
