It must’ve been about 2 years since the last time I went in Fredericton, for those of you who haven’t took the time to visit our capital it’s a must. If you like to run, walk or relax, Fredericton is the place to be. Being a tree lover I was impressed by the weeping willow beside the St-John river, leaves are only starting to peak out but it was great to see those fresh green/yellow leaf. The weather is quite dramatic lately, big clouds and the sun peaking once in a while, I’ve stopped by this little bench, sat down and waited for the sun to light up the tree. The lighting can create magical scene like this one here.

Photographers who know me are aware that I will rarely shoot a sunset, tonight was a different story. I was expecting dramatic lighting and like all photographer I decided to hit Pokeshaw to get lighting condition I was expecting. Nothing turned out how I had anticipated it, oh well, it happens. I had to opt for a sunset shot but I also wanted to include part of the bird Island because that Island really defines Pokeshaw.

This little hidden gem is located in the Bay of Chaleur area, it’s just an old little wharf. It’s built on rocks and that makes it a good wharf for the lobster fisherman. The lobster season started this past Sunday and I missed it, the date was changed a few times because there was some ice in a few area. Around 10 000 lobster trap were thrown at the water that morning.
I’ve also had the chance to meet with a few fisherman, one of them showed me a few good spots for photography that could otherwise be hard to see if you don’t know about it.
